So I was looking through my camera, and I realized that I had never actually watched 80% of the videos that were taken on my shit.  Granted, 60% of that was <1 second clips taken on accident when a picture was intended, but there was some interesting shit.
Such as this.
Since taking screencaps from video files brings back fond memories of Pokemon Snap for me, this is the Ilmari referenced in the clip:

Damn it's gotta be retarded too, Kei?  That's rough.
(Sorry Nhat just noticed your comment on my previous entry about webhosting; had I been paying more attention I would've checked with you about your offer before I signed up with 1and1).  Also other videos revealed to me the names of those Purdue girls whose contact information they had written down on a napkin for me,

said napkin finding its way into my mouth,

then Kei's mouth,

then into my pants,

and then never to be seen again.
Damn I just realized that this video Kei took of Nar's Knox buddies enthralled with Nintendogs is 110MB.  So don't take my word for it, you'll have to ask Husseyin, Roh and Josh (I think those are the names/spellings of the guys with us) about that.

So they shut down my Oakton web account the other day, real quick (it took at least a year for my shit to get nixed from Wisconsin). And with that, I was without a place I could randomly upload pictures of random shit I could show others (mainly Kei). And then I remembered I had Xanga, which apparently has upgraded to 2GB of space since I last checked (I remember once worrying about what I'd do once I hit the 20MB cap).  Anyways, the reason for this was to show others (mainly Kei) my latest acquisition, Bapesta pair #7:

^gray/yellow KAWS

For those of you who only keep up with me through my Xanga, I'm still a peon at Target, not in school at the moment, but was in school long enough to sign up for facebook:
http://facebook.com/p.php?id=214200484&l=eac06bee05
^recent pictures there due to ease of uploading multiple pictures

Also, Xbox Live (gamertag-popnjoe) owns me.
I'm usually on playing DOA4, although I will play PDZ or Ridge Racer 6 sometimes.

Regarding shit from my previous post many months ago, the Teriyaki Boyz album wasn't bad, but not as great as I had hoped.  No Alchemist beat either.  Also, Dope Space Nine>>>>>>>>Astromantic Charm School in terms of remix quality.

Also, looking for good/cheap webhosting solution.  Any suggestions?
Kei had suggested I take up the name Vilorious (or vILLorious) for a clothing line.  That looks like a suitable domain name.

next 'update' quite possibly in 2007

Does anyone read my Xanga anymore?
Do I update my Xanga anymore?
Who cares.

>A hip-hop super group including members of m-flo and Rip Slyme is releasing its debut album on Nov. 16, Bounce.com reports. Teriyaki Boyz features Ilmari (Rip Slyme), Ryo-Z (Rip Slyme), Verbal (m-flo), Wise (Apesounds) and Nigo (A Bathing Ape), and the group worked with a number of producers from inside and outside Japan on its first album, Beef or Chicken. The list includes the Neptunes, Daft Punk, DJ Shadow, Ad Rock from the Beastie Boys, Cornelius, Mick Ronson, Alchemist, Dan the Automator, DJ Premiere and Just Blaze. A special edition of the album will be packaged in a slipcase cover.
Speaking of m-flo, Bounce.com also reports the release of Dope Space Nine, a remix album based on m-flo's barely released new album Beat Space Nine. Remixers this time include CBK Annex, Clazziquai Project, Cubismo Graffico, DJ Maar, DJ Marky, DJ Mitsu, The Beats (Gagle/Jazzy Sport), Home Grown, Kevin Blechdom, Kreva, Maboroshi, Reggae Disco Rockers, Shinichi Osawa (Mondo Grosso) and Tongari Nipopo. m-flo begins a nationwide tour in Osaka on Oct. 6, and with the exception of a Tokyo show, Emyli and Yoshika, melody. and Yamamoto Ryouhei and Lisa are expected to join the band onstage. Details of the tour are forthcoming on m-flo's official site.
(copied and pasted from some music blog, too lazy to check)

I will comment on this sometime between Monday and Thursday when I'm not working and have more time.  But shit the excitement I'm feeling now is most definitely fucking up my attempts at sleep.  And Kei may have already covered this already (sorry I don't check on your blog as much as I would like to).

19 AN HOUR

The remodel project going on at my Target is well underway.  For those of you familiar with the store (0927-Evanston, Howard/McCormick), basically 70% of the stockroom (about the entire size of Green world) is being turned into sales floor space.  Due to Evanston politics, Target was unable to expand the size of the building and now we have an offsite warehouse over in Skokie.  Currently the logistics of it is in shambles, as there's constantly about two trailers worth of backstock just sitting untouched in the warehouse for almost two months now.  But I'm consistently getting 40+ hours off of four days of work, so I shouldn't be complaining...
...Which is good, since I may have an unhealthy passion for gambling.  I've only been to the casino three times this past month, but my sister tells me I have a dangerous pattern of betting in blackjack (and apparently I like to double down on all 9-11s without concern for other cards).  Just last night I started up ~$150, and then I proceeded to lose $400 over the course of the next three hours.  Luckily I got $150 back on slots (2 credit machines are the way to go) before leaving, so in two weeks time I'll be ready to throw money away on the East Chicago riverboats again.  The previous two times I went I won ~$100 and then broke even...
...So having a net loss in my finances from gambling, I haven't made any expensive Bemani-related purchases since I preordered pop'n music 11 a few months back.

I've since spent about a week with the game, and it is probably the most enjoyable pop'n game I've played so far.

Gone is the gay roulette unlock system from pop'n 10, and in its place is pop'n tourist, where you gain mileage points from playing songs and then send the game's protagonists to locations around the world, where they will send you an e-mail every few songs you play that sometimes have an unlockable item attached.  All in all a very endearing concept despite the fact that I can't understand a single part of their correspondence, but then again the only pop'n related thing I have ever come across that was not endearing was said gay roulette from pop'n 10.  Also of note is the character guide mode, where you can see all the animations that the characters do in the game.  Which is good, since I had previously been wondering how I could go about getting images of Sumire's pop'n military:

Damn this $10 capture card sucks ass.

Speaking of pop'n music, my search for Bemani goods is now usually limited to konamistyle.jp and Yahoo! Japan auctions.  I generally use Rinkya to search (Shopping Mall Japan, despite its buggy interface has better commission rates however) Yahoo! Japan since I'm pretty lazy and don't feel like registering an account with them to browse auctions and then inputting the search terms in traditional Japanese characters.  Well one day while going through the motions I saw in the 'featured auctions' sidebar some colorful shoes with a bid price of about 20,000 yen.  My first thought was 'those are some expensive-ass colorful shoes.'  My interest piqued, I decided to check out the auction, and it was of a colorful pair of Nike Air Force One ripoffs that had looked familiar somehow.  Where had I seen them before?

'itsumo FRESH na BAPESTA de STAGE
tatenakya hajimarimasen'

When I saw the 'Dopamine' video, my first thought was 'those are some colorful-ass air force ripoffs.'  After I discovered what exactly Verbal was endorsing in the video, my first thought was 'those are some expensive-ass colorful-ass air force ripoffs that I must have.'
So I got me a pair:

(stock photo since my camera is MIA, I think still at Nar's from his birthday).
I would eventually like to get a non-shiny pair, but the all-white ones I was looking to nab yesterday ended at 11,500 yen without my bid since my internet crapped out on me at the last minute.  And there's a nice pair of shiny amaping (©Kei Hotoda) blue ones just released in Japan yesterday.  Anyways, this has been the first pair of shoes of any kind that I haven't bought at Marshall's or DSW in at least seven years.  Apparently these are hot commodities over in New York as well, as there's a Bape store there.

Some enterprising individual in Japan went about painstakingly recreating this shoe, albeit with a less popular Bapesta model as the base shoe.

Less than a day to go on the auction, price at 60,000 yen after 38 bids.

I initially intended to share with all the research I have done on Nigo and his A Bathing Ape company, but now I sleep.

In closing, this post has been brought to you by nonstoplawnmowerspreventingmefromsleepingdamnyouneighborsbutthankyouforfinallystopping.
